Croton-Harmon School Board Candidate Withdraws
Apparently he hasn't lived in the district for a year. He notified the district clerk Monday.
CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY -- The Croton Harmon Board of Education sent out a notice to residents of the school district this morning. This is school budget and board vote day.
PLEASE BE ADVISED that at 10:45 a.m. on May 14, 2018, Jordan Humphrey, whose name appears on the Ballot for election to the Croton – Harmon Union Free School District Board of Education, informed the District that he does not meet the one-year residency requirement necessary to be seated as a Board member. Due to the short notice, Mr. Humphrey’s name will continue to appear on the Ballot at the time of the election on May 15, 2018. However, please be aware that notwithstanding the amount of votes cast for Mr. Humphrey, if any, he will not be eligible to be sworn in as a Board member as a result of the Annual election on May 15, 2018. Write-in votes are permitted.
