Croton Police: 3 Teens Arrested At Gouveia Park

Police alleged the three forced entry into the house, which has been vandalized in the past.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, NY — Three teens, two of them local residents, face felony charges after being arrested Tuesday at Gouveia Park.

A recent spate of vandalism at the Gouveia House, a village-owned building located in Gouveia Park, has resulted in two windows and a sliding glass door being broken on different occasions, Croton-on-Hudson officials said in a statement about the arrests.

Officers of the Croton-on-Hudson Police Department who responded to the Gouveia House said they found three suspects who had forced entry into the building, officials said.

Charged with one count of Burglary in the 3rd degree, a felony, were Noelle Keenan, 19, of Croton-on-Hudson, Medea Pepper-Jones, 18, of Croton-on-Hudson and Tashi Burke-Tomaeno, 18, of El Cerrito, California.

Gouveia Park was the home of John and Laurel Gouveia. Their donation of the house and its 15+ acres of land overlooking the Hudson River, to the village for a park was controversial, primarily because of the cost to maintain it.
