Ossining's Downtown Redevelopment Working Committee will make a presentation Tuesday.

OSSINING, NY — The Downtown Redevelopment Working Committee will make a presentation Tuesday about its research and recommendations. For three months, community members and municipal representatives have been engaged in the process of reimagining the center of Ossining. The impetus for revitalization planning began when the village board's proposal to create a roundabout at the intersection of Main and Spring streets, a project shot down after strong opposition from many including the Chamber of Commerce.

"We'll hear recommendations of how best to continue the revitalization of our downtown," Mayor Victoria Gearity said in a message to residents. "This special work session will be recorded and available on TV and online the following day. We anticipate that these recommendations will reignite a community conversation about our priorities for the future of Downtown Ossining. Be part of this important conversation!"
