Employee At Sing Sing Tests Positive For Coronavirus

A spokesman for the New York State Department of Corrections said investigators are notifying anyone who might have been exposed.

OSSINING, NY — An employee at Sing Sing Correctional Facility has tested positive for the new coronavirus, according to an official of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Two inmates have been tested due to a potential contact. The results of those tests are pending. Neither shows symptoms of the virus officially known as COVID-19, the official said.

The Department has worked with and followed all Department of Health protocols including doing a 'reverse trace' investigation to identify and notify anyone else who could have been exposed.
