Enterprise Rent-A-Car Joined Forces With United Way And Rebuilding Together Dutchess County To Repair Orange County Resident's Home
Hudson Valley Enterprise Rent-A-Car volunteers helped to revitalize the home of a 77-year-old Newburgh resident.
Hudson Valley, New York (December 5, 2014) – Hudson Valley Enterprise Rent-A-Car volunteers helped to revitalize the home of a 77-year-old Newburgh woman alongside United Way, Rebuilding Together Dutchess County and the Poughkeepsie Journal, in honor of Make A Difference Day.
“It was a privilege working with Rebuilding Together Dutchess County, United Way and the Poughkeepsie Journal to help repair a local community member’s home cost-free,” said Kathleen Wolverton, human resources generalist at Enterprise. “Our volunteers have a strong connection with the community, and are always looking for ways to make a positive difference. Helping to fix up homes in need of repair is one way we can do that.”
Enterprise Rent-a-Car volunteers included Brian Bicher, Area Rental Manager,Robillard Castor, Area Accountant, Matt Peterson, Vehicle Repair Manager, and Nick Piletto, Branch Manager. These volunteers painted alongside volunteers with the Poughkeepsie Journal and United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region, thanks in part to a $5,000 Gannett Foundation grant.

“Our employees love working with these organizations because they’re impacting the lives of those in need of assistance,” Wolverton said. “We look forward to providing more assistance to the community through continued outreach initiatives in the future.”
