Florence Remnants In The HV: Storm Timeline, Rainfall Totals
The Hazardous Weather Outlooks have changed since Sunday. Here's the latest.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service updated its hazardous weather outlooks for the lower and mid-Hudson Valley early Monday. Now the remnants of Florence aren't expected to make much of an impact Monday, instead affecting the region overnight and through Tuesday (see hourly forecast below).
Rain will be heaviest in the mid-Hudson Valley, where a flood watch will go into effect at midnight Monday. There the NWS predicts 1-3 inches of rain. In the lower valley, 1 to 1.5 inches are expected through Tuesday.
The good news is that Florence has speeded up.

"The quicker pace will result in the wet weather generally lasting less than 24 hours in most locations," said Renee Duff, AccuWeather meteorologist.

The remnants of Florence will pass through the area tonight into Tuesday. The system will be capable of producing 1 to 1.5 inches of rain across the region with locally higher amounts possible. The main threat from this rainfall will be minor urban and poor drainage flooding. There is a low chance of localized flash flooding.
In the mid-Hudson, it's all about potential flooding, and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect from midnight Sept. 18 until 2 a.m. Sept. 19.
Tropical moisture from the remnants of Florence will overspread the region with rain tonight into Tuesday. Rain will be heavy at times overnight into Tuesday morning. 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected, though locally higher amounts are possible within embedded bands of heavier rain and a thunderstorm.
Flash flooding is possible, especially for urban areas, creeks and small streams, and areas that have already experienced flooding in recent weeks. There is still some uncertainty for exactly where the heaviest rainfall will be, but flash floodingcould be especially significant where it occurs.
Expect to see sunny skies on Wednesday.
