Hazardous Outlooks For Hudson Valley Thursday

Here's what you can expect in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and Westchester.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The cycle of unsettled weather with multiple rounds of storms and showers continues.

Dutchess and Ulster counties have a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Thursday. This morning the National Weather Service said:

There is a chance of thunderstorms today into tonight. The main threat will be for locally heavy downpours and there is a marginal risk for flash flooding. Some of the storms could also produce gusty winds, mainly from the eastern Catskills to the Berkshires and points south.

The NWS also issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook Thursday morning for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties.

There is a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and into early tonight. The main threat is damaging wind gusts.

All of it may miss southern Westchester, the forecast says. However, there's still a Hazardous Weather Outlook posted for the region:

There is a low chance of flash flooding from late Friday night through Saturday morning.
