Hazardous Weather Outlook For Most Of Hudson Valley
Here are the latest details on today's forecast for snow and rain showers.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for most of the Hudson Valley. For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties:
A quick moving low pressure system poses a moderate to high potential for a light accumulating snowfall today. 1 to 2 inches of snowfall is likely in this area. There is a low potential for locally 2 to 4 inches of snow. Hazardous travel conditions are likely this morning into the afternoon.
For Dutchess and Ulster:
Light snow is expected for areas along and south of I-90 today. Although any accumulations looks to generally be just a dusting to an inch, some locations above 2000 feet in elevation could see 1 to 3 inches. Untreated surfaces may become locally slippery.
For southern Westchester:

A quick moving low pressure system will result in light snow this morning which transitions to rain later this morning into early afternoon, with a low to moderate potential for a light snow accumulation before changeover to rain. A dusting to around an inch of snow is possible before a changeover to rain. Local snow amounts of 1 to 2 inches cannot be ruled out, particularly across southwest Connecticut. Hazardous travel conditions are possible in this area, particularly away from the south coasts.
Hudson Valley Weather doesn't agree, by the way.
"The light snow showers that have had everyone a buzz the last 24 hours, may end up being more bark than bite," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter. "There could be a burst or two where snow comes down steady for a bit in locations… but most of us will just see a nuisance dusting in spots."
