Hazardous Weather Outlooks Issued For Hudson Valley Weekend

about the timing of all the showers, thunderstorms, downpours

The National Weather Service has issued hazardous weather outlooks for much of the Hudson Valley. "We are seeing a very unsettled pattern shaping up once again… in a summer that has been full of unsettled weather (at least since early July)," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather, "there is no organized weather system to forecast… just a moist, unsettled flow across our area. That will make planning your weekend activities frustrating."

For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties:

Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop along a stalling frontal boundary late Friday through Saturday. There is potential for torrential downpours to move over the same areas, bringing rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, and presenting a localized threat for flash flooding.
