Heavy Storms To End HV Heat Wave As Index Hits 106 Degrees
Heat warnings are in effect as the heat index hits 106 degrees at Westchester County Airport. Flash flooding is possible Monday.

A heat wave that has gripped the Hudson Valley for days will end overnight, but the transition won't be a smooth one. Heavy rain and storms are in the forecast as the weather changes to cooler conditions during the work week from excessive heat over the weekend.
There will be a low chance for flash flooding with showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon through early Tuesday.
The heat index at Westchester County airport hit a high of 106 degrees at 7 p.m. Saturday, and was at 103 on Sunday at 1 p.m.
