Hudson Valley Farmers Markets Spring Back Up For 2022

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Time to get out and see local produce, eggs, foods and friends. All around the region, farmers markets are reopening and year-round markets have shaken off the omicron blues.

Here's the latest about markets in the Hudson Valley that have updated their info for spring 2022 (please let us know if we’ve missed one):

Dutchess

Amenia
The Amenia Farmers Market has one more session inside, April 29, before it moves outdoors in May, when it will run from 3 to 7:30 p.m. on Fridays, May-October. At Town Hall, 4988 Route 22.

Beacon

The Beacon Farmers Market finishes its winter session this month on Sundays, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The website shows its marvelous list of summer vendors for 2022. Opening day is May 1 at at 223 Main St. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays through November.

Hyde Park

The Hyde Park Farmers Market opens in June 2022 at 4390 Route 9, across from Town Hall. You can follow Hyde Park Farmers Market on Facebook!

Millbrook
Celebrating 32 years, the Millbrook Farmers Market will run 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturdays, May 28 through Oct. 28 at 3263 Franklin Ave.

Millerton

The Millerton Farmers Market, managed by the North East Community Center, offers a wide variety of vendors who are local and use sustainable and ethical growing practices. The winter market's last day is April 23. This summer it will run on Saturdays for 24 weeks, from May 21 to Oct. 29.Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Located at the corner of Dutchess Avenue and Main Street.

Pawling
The Pawling Farmers Market has the cutest "save the date" image on its website:

Poughkeepsie

The Poughkeepsie Farmers Market will run from 4-6:30 p.m. Monday afternoons, May 2 through Oct. 24 in 2022. It's at the Waterfront Pavilion, Mid-Hudson Children's Museum, 75 N. Water St. The market is participating in the Double Up Food Bucks New York program, which matches SNAP / EBT purchases one-to-one (up to $20 per week) to purchase fruits and vegetables for FREE. Rhinebeck
Sunday Sunday! Founded in 1994, the Rhinebeck Farmers’ Market has become Rhinebeck’s Sunday morning gathering place. May 1 through Dec. 18 (skip Dec. 4) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Did you know? To honor founding board member John Honey, the board launched the John Honey Scholarship in 2010. An award is given to a graduating high school senior, a current college student from the area or a student who is the child of a Rhinebeck Farmers' Market vendor majoring in agriculture, food science, environmental studies or a related field. Scholarship funds are also provided to current vendors pursuing continuing education.

Ulster

Kingston
The summer market starts May 7. Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. through Nov. 19 (before going back to winter market every other Saturday status). County Courthouse parking lot, entrance on John Street.

Saugerties
Live music and the Kids Art Corner will be back this spring at the market! May 28-Oct. 29 (skipping the Garlic Festival though), 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturdays. 115 Main St.

Putnam

Brewster
Brewster's year-round market, the Hudson Valley Regional Farmers Market runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays just off Route 22, at 15 Mount Ebo Road South.

Cold Spring

The winter market hours are Saturdays 10-1 on the grounds at Boscobel on Route 9. You can help support the Cold Spring Farmers Market at its "Grazing on the Grass" fundraiser May 1 at the beautiful Garrison Institute.

Rockland

Nyack
Open year-round, summer hours have begun. SEE: Nyack Farmers Market Resumes Regular Hours. Thursdays, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Main Street parking lot. Free parking is available during Market hours in the Artopee lot adjacent to the Market. Street parking is free up to 10 a.m.

Piermont
The Piermont Farmer’s Market runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays at the M&T Bank and Piermont Public Library parking lots. They're revving up for the season. SEE: Spring Forward at Piermont Farmers Market

Westchester

Chappaqua
Did you know? Last year their shoppers donated more than a ton of farmers market food to the Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry. Food donations will continue this season so please help when you can, by donating cash at the market or online here. Opening day for 2022 is May 7. in the south lot at the Chappaqua train station.

Hastings

The Winter/Spring season, when the market is open 1st and 3rd Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., runs through May 21. In the Zinnser commuter lot on Southside Avenue. The market fundraises to buy goods from vendors to help stock the Hastings Food Pantry.

Larchmont

Down to Earth's summer Farmers Market in Larchmont is open Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. from April 23 through Dec. 17. Textile and plastic recycling opportunities will go on through May.

New Rochelle

Founded in 2009, the Down to Earth market in New Rochelle opens for 2022 on June 3. 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Fridays through Oct. 28 at the Thomas Paine Cottage Museum, North Avenue at Sicard Avenue.

Ossining
The flagship Down to Earth market is open year-round. Food scrap and textile recycling will be available on Saturdays in May. It operates at the parking lot on the corner of Spring and Main streets.

Peekskill
The 32nd Annual Peekskill Farmers Market gets underway at 1 Bank St. June 4. It will runsevery Saturday, rain or shine, through Nov. 19. Follow themarket on Facebook for weekly vendor participation.

Pleasantville

Sunny Spring Market! was the title of manager Steve Bates's most recent weekly column on Patch. 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturdays. Get to know the new layout, and don't overlook the south end!

Rye
The Rye Farmers Market opens May 8 and will run through Dec. 4. Sundays, 8:30AM -1:00PM, in the parking lot on Theodore Fremd Avenue behind the Purchase Street stores.

Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow
The TaSH has two special events in May at Patriots Park — its 2nd Annual Mother’s Day Market on May 7 and the start of its 8th summer season May 28.
