Hudson Valley: Hour By Hour Forecast Of Snow, Sleet, Rain, Ice
Snow is expected to start falling before dawn Tuesday. Rain is expected to taper off Wednesday morning. Here's the latest.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Winter weather advisories are in effect from 6 a.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday for Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and Westchester counties. Snow is expected to start falling before then.
According to Hudson Valley Weather, snow will develop between 7-11 a.m., change to sleet between noon and 4 p.m., and change to rain or freezing rain at the dinner hour south of I-84 and before midnight north of I-84.

For Westchester County:

For the southern end of the Hudson Valley, mixed precipitation is expected with a total snow accumulation of 2 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze to up to one-tenth of an inch.

For the mid-Hudson Valley, mixed precipitation with a total snow accumulation of 3-7 inches and ice accumulations of around one to two tenths of an inch is expected. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph mainly across higher terrain.
Just when snow will change to sleet and sleet will change to freezing rain or rain is still in flux, and varies across the Hudson Valley.
