Here are the details about what to expect when.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties:
Light snow is expected to develop late this afternoon and continue into the evening. Generally one to two inches is forecast, and could result in slippery conditions during the evening commute.
The NWS says it will come as a weak low pressure system tracks to the Mid Atlantic coast. This low will strengthen as it moves northeast, passing south of Long Island Friday evening.
Light snow is expected to overspread the area during the mid to late afternoon hours and continue through the evening with amounts ranging between 1 and 3 inches. The highest amounts are expected east of New York City.
