New Director Announcement

The Ossining Public Library is thrilled to announce the appointment of a new Director effective September 1st.

The OPL Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that effective September 1st, 2015, Karen LaRocca-Fels will be the new Director of the Ossining Public Library.

Karen LaRocca-Fels comes to the Ossining Public Library with a strong background in public libraries.  Karen fell in love with library work when she worked at the Monroe Free Library in Monroe, NY.  Karen received her Master’s in Library Science Degree from SUNY Albany.  Followed by a certificate in Library Administration from Long Island University’s Palmer School.  Karen has held several positions in various libraries as Assistant Director and Director.  In 2009, she was appointed Director of the Cornwall Public Library in Cornwall, NY.  Karen has served as Treasurer and then President of the New York Library Associations Public Libraries Section.

Please join us in welcoming our new Director, Karen LaRocca-Fels, to the Ossining Public Library.  We are thrilled to have her on our OPL team and look forward to her transforma
