"Oranges and Sunshine" Playing At Maryknoll

Last feature film of the season on May 20.

Oranges and Sunshine will be the final film in the 2015-2016 International Film Festival sponsored by the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. The film will be presented on Friday, May 20, 7:30 p.m., at the Maryknoll Mission Center, 55 Ryder Road in Ossining. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

Oranges and Sunshine is a 2010 UK/Australian film from director Jim Loach. The film, set in 1980’s Nottingham, England, tells the story of social worker Margaret Humpreys, who held the British government accountable for child migration schemes.

The film will be introduced by a Maryknoll missioner who also will lead a brief discussion about the story after the screening.
