MARCH 18, 2016—Where do you find Ossining Girl Scouts in the community? And what does it mean to a Girl Scout — even the youngest ones — to be part of the community? Visit the Ossining Public Library to find out!
Since the beginning of March and running throughout the month, members of Ossining Girl Scout troops have been creating and displaying artwork depicting what it means to them to be Girl Scouts in the community. For some, it's fond memories of baking pies for Thanksgiving to give to the Ossining Food Pantry. For others, it's about singing holiday carols in area nursing homes and child care centers. Many look forward each year to marching in the Ossining Memorial Day Parade. And let's not forget Girl Scout Cookies, which go on sale every February, providing residents with their annual stash of Thin Mints, Samoas, and other favorites.
The art display is just outside the Budarz Auditorium on the lower level of the library and will run through March 31.
