Just like the 2017 Run/Walk, runners begin at the Main Street Post Office, while walkers start at the Double Arches. Everyone will follow the path along the old Croton Aqueduct trail towards the Crawbuckie Nature Preserve, accessing the park via a path created by the Avalon residential complex. Walkers will venture into the complex before heading back to finish their hike. Runners will proceed a bit further north before returning to the Double Arches Finish Line.

It is a multi-surface course (pavement, grass, dirt and wood chip trails) of varying elevation, with uneven terrain, stairs and hills.

As in past years, there will be a kids' festival for the youngest runners and walkers following the main event, plus an awards ceremony with medals presented in all age categories.

Ossining MATTERS will offer in-person registration along with pre-race packet pickup from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ossining Recreation Center to make the Saturday morning run more efficiently.

Gearity said all participants are invited to the brewery when it opens at 1 p.m.Saturday for the unveiling of a new custom designed bike rack located inside the brewery entrance.

Ossining MATTERS participants who bring their race placard are invited to enjoy a free draft beer, he said.
