Ossining Moms sing to raise funds for OHS Drama trip to Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Friday, November 6, 8pm at Theater O

Seven mothers, and one honorary mother will perform a Cabaret on Friday, November 6, at 8pm at Ossining’s own Theater O. The performance will feature songs about motherhood, sung by talented mothers. The performers are: Shami Arslanian, Anne Carpenter, Aisling Dono, Robin Goldberg, Julie Griffin, Kate Mathews and honorary mom Steve Weisbart. Giocille Shaw is the musical director and Jessica Irons directs. The evening promises to be full of joy, talent, and a wide array of musical genres.

Ossining High School Drama is among 50 high school theater programs, out of more than 2,500 that were nominated, chosen to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival next August in Edinburgh, Scotland. Theater O is presenting a Mom Cabaret as a fundraiser for the trip costs.

Jessica Irons, Artistic Director of Theater O says, “I have so much respect for the cultural arts programs in the Ossining Schools. I am proud to live in a place that values the arts, and particularly the theater. This trip is expensive. These kids are awesome. We want to help them get there and rally our community around what is a spectacular feather in the cap of the OUFSD and arts programming in general in Ossining.”

The cost of the cabaret is $50 and includes wine. All proceeds will go towards the OHS Drama Club’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival trip. To make a reservations, make a tax deductible donation of $50 online at :
