Ossining Schools Calendar 2015-16

You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2015-16 school year in the Ossining school district.

First day of school: Sept. 3

Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Sept. 14, 15

Yom Kippur (school closed): Sept. 23

Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 12

Teacher Institute Day (half day): Oct. 23

Election Day, Superintendent Conference Day (school closed): Nov. 3

Veterans Day (no school): Nov. 11

Teacher Institute (half day): Nov. 25

Thanksgiving recess (school closed): Nov. 26-27

Holiday recess: Dec. 24-Jan. 1 (school resumes Jan. 4)

Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 18

Winter recess: Feb. 15-19

Superintendent’s Conference Day: March 2

Spring recess: March 21-25

Grades 3-8 ELA testing: April 5-7

Grades 3-8: math testing: April 13-15

Memorial Day recess: May 30

Teacher Institute Day (half day): June 23
