Ossining Seeks Applicants To Fill Town Board Vacancy
It's part of the domino effect of Town Supervisor Dana Levenberg's election to the New York State Assembly.

OSSINING, NY — The Ossining Town Council appointed Councilwoman Liz Feldman to the position of town supervisor, since Dana Levenberg leaves as of Jan. 1 for the New York State Assembly, and now they need to fill the vacant spot on the board.
The board acted Tuesday in a special meeting.
Levenberg will replace longtime Assemblywoman Sandra Galef representing the 95th District in Albany. Feldman will replace Levenberg. Now town officials are seeking letters of interest for a one-year appointment to the Town Board to end effective Dec. 31, 2023.

The seat will be up for election in November of 2023 for a 4-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2024.
While all residents of the Town of Ossining are welcome to apply, the Board will be giving special consideration to those who live in the unincorporated area of town, known as the "town outside." While the village of Ossining and most of the village of Briarcliff are in the town of Ossining, they handle most of their government affairs through their village governments.
