Landlord-tenant dispute leads to arrest.

Monday, Nov. 24 – 8:22 a.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Croton Dam Road and Narragansett Avenue on a report that a vehicle was involved in a rollover accident. The driver was not injured.

Wednesday, Nov. 26 – 1:14 a.m. – A Westchester County police officer on patrol observed that the street light at North State Road and Ganung Drive was not working. The town Highway Department was notified.

7 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Woods Brooke Circle to assist an elderly man who was suffering severe stomach pain. The man was subsequently transported by the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow.

Thursday, Nov. 27 – 11:30 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to St. Augustine’s Cemetery on Hawkes Avenue on a report that two suspicious vehicles were on the grounds. The vehicles were actually operated by maintenance personnel who were laying down salt and sand on the roadways.

Friday, Nov. 28 – 9:23 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a home on Hillcrest Avenue on a report that a woman was incoherent and in need of medical aid. The woman was subsequently taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

Tuesday, Dec. 2 –2:24 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Minkel Road after a resident reported receiving two harassing phone calls. An investigation is continuing.

5:30 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to Hudson Watch Drive after a resident who was walking his dog said he was almost struck by a vehicle driven by a man who was on his cell phone. The motorist and pedestrian also exchanged words before the car drove off. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle, which may have been in the neighborhood to make a delivery.

Wednesday, Dec. 3 – 12:06 p.m. – Westchester County Police responded to a business office on Executive Drive after an employee said he opened an envelope that came in the mail and then felt a strange taste in his mouth. The county police Hazardous Device Unit was requested to examine the scene and take possession of the item. No suspicious or illegal substance was found.

Thursday, Dec. 4 – 1:40 p.m. – Westchester County Police arrested an Ossining landlord after his tenant reported that he had entered her apartment and damaged property belonging to her. County police initially responded at 9:40 a.m. on Dec. 1 to a residence on McCarthy Drive after a woman said she came home and found her landlord inside her apartment. Some property belonging to the woman had been thrown outside into the yard. Inside, the woman discovered that an air conditioner, computer and fan had been damaged and her curtains had been pulled down. She also reported that a small table was missing.

On Dec. 4, county Police Officer David Lincoln was traveling on Stormytown Road when he saw the landlord driving in a car. He stopped the landlord’s vehicle on Cedar Lane and took him into custody.

Eugene Breyfogle, 53, of McCarthy Drive was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, felonies, and Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor.
