Ossining's 5th Annual Earth Day Festival
April 18th- A Riverfront Day of Free Family Events with food, fun, music and activities!
This year, we celebrate the 45th Anniversary of Earth Day, as well as focusing our theme on solar energy. Hosted by Green Ossining with sponsorship support from a variety of community businesses, featured events of the day include:
Live Music: Enjoy a day of live music with local musicians such as KJ Denhert and a performance by our stage hosts Mike & Miriam Risko and the Mike Risko Band , as well as a special feature performance by Solar Punch - a solar-powered rock band with a mission to provide environmental education – who will power our main stage with 100% clean energy from the sun.
Textile Recycling: We’ll be accepting clothing, shoes and household linens in any condition! Bring down some loved t-shirts and we will show you had to upcycle them and make a re-useable bag.

Go Solar!: Ossining/Briarcliff’s participation in Solarize Westchester, an initiative to make the purchase and installation of solar panels for local residents and businesses easier and more cost effective. http://www.solarizewestchester.com/solarize-ossining-briarcliff/ will be featured at the event, along with our selected vendor for this effort: Ross Solar Group
