• The Heroes Of Hawkes Avenue Fire Honored In Ossining (patch.com) — Ossining officials have formally honored ten first responders whose quick, gearless actions evacuated a multi-occupied Hawkes Avenue building after lightning sparked a massive fire. At the Ossining Town Board meeting, local firefighters, police officers, EMS crews and county agencies were praised for saving lives, with residents invited to watch the ceremony on the town's YouTube channel.
