Prison Sentence For Ossining Man For Child Sex Abuse

Authorities said he engaged in sexual acts with the child over a nine-month period.

OSSINING, NY — An Ossining man was sentenced to state prison for sexually abusing a child. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino jr. said Friday Luis Antonio Araujo-Cada, 35. will be going to prison for four years for second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony.

He appeared for sentencing before Westchester County Court Judge Susan Cacace Tuesday.

Araujo-Cada pleaded guilty in February to sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl whom he knew.

Authorities said he engaged in sexual acts with the child over a nine-month period.

He was arrested Nov. 6 and was arraigned the same day.

In addition to the prison term, the judge sentenced him to 10 years post-release supervision. Upon release, he must register as a sex offender.
