Sense and Sensibility performed at the Croton Academy of Arts

Croton on Hudson, NY – Croton Academy of Arts presents the literary classic Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen, in an inventively vibrant, new stage adaptation by Kate Hamill, Friday and Saturday, May 20 & 21 at 7pm and Sunday, May 22 at 3pm directed by Myrlin Valerio and presented by the CAA Teen Theater Company. Sense and Sensibility follows the adventures of the Dashwood sisters—sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne—after their sudden loss of fortune. “The play is true to Austen’s novel depicting 19th century society, relationships and expectations but in an exciting, whirlwind adaptation. The teen actors have embraced Hamill’s adaptation with passion and the dedication that they have put into rehearsing the play and it’s physical demands is exciting to see.” said Myrlin Valerio, director.

Performances are Friday and Saturday, May 20 & 21 at 7pm and Sunday, May 22 at 3pm . Reserved seating tickets are $15/$12 and may be purchased online at crotonacademy.org. Limited general admission tickets will be available at the door.

The cast includes, Maddie Barnes, Celine Brad, Harry Cooper, Liam Donahue, Haylee Dowd, Meredith Kehoe, Dante Mancinelli, Jack Mahoney, William Mahoney, Sophia Mathews.
