Heroin. Its in our backyard. What you should know. Where you can go. You can save a life.

In 2008, Yorktown resident, Justin Veatch, a High School student with great musical talent and ambitions died in his sleep from an overdose of heroin. Whispering Spirits is a documentary about Justin’s found recordings after his death, and how they were made to live on. His father, Jeffrey Veatch, will be joining us in discussion and will share a portion of his talk that he has given to many schools in Westchester and now nationally. Joining him on the panel are Ellen Moorehouse, Executive Director of Student Assistance Services Corp in Tarrytown, and Rachel Schoolcraft, Phelps Addiction Treatment Services in Ossining. Whispering Spirits debuted to a sold-out crowd at the Jacob Burns on November 2nd. We welcome you to this free event. Seating begins at 615p. Film will begin promptly at 630p. Ossining Public Library’s Budarz Theatre, 53 Croton Avenue, Ossining, NY 10562.
