Trio of GOP Candidates for Ossining Town Offices

A veteran and two newcomers are on the Republican slate.

Ossining Republicans have picked a slate of three candidates to run for Ossining Town offices: John Perillo, Aaron Spring and Michael Milner.

Perillo is a former Ossining Village mayor and also served on the Ossining Board of Education. Milner and Spring are newcomers to politics but not to Ossining.

“Having owned a successful business for 46 years, I am proud and honored to give Ossining and Briarcliff voters a choice to participate in the process of our great Republic and cast their ballots for real leadership this November,” Perillo said in a prepared statement.

Peter Tripodi, Ossining Town Republican Party Chairman, proudly announces candidates for the Town of Ossining offices. “Having been a Town Board member myself, getting candidates of such enthusiasm, qualifications, and public-minded spirit was in the forefront of my objective as Republican Chairman.“

Leading the ticket for Ossining, and coming out of political retirement, is former Ossining Village Mayor John Perillo. John will bring common sense, accountability, representation and respect to the voice of the electorate. His vast 35 years of public service include that of an elected Village Trustee, and an elected member of the Ossining School Board. His vast knowledge of zoning and planning will contribute to moving the Town of Ossining forward. “Having owned a successful business for 46 years, I am proud and honored to give Ossining and Briarcliff voters a choice to participate in the process of our great Republic and cast their ballots for real leadership this November.”

”Newcomer to the political arena, but very experienced in community service, is Aaron Spring who is running for Town Councilman. Aaron will bring qualifications and a unique representation to the Town Board that’s been lacking in the past. Being born and raised in Briarcliff Manor and attending Ossining schools, Aaron will be a great liaison to Ossining’s young adults. Aaron feels the community has always had programs for the very young and elderly, but now will try to bridge that gap for the young adults and their parents. “I look forward to the high profile and vigorous campaign ahead. As a young professional I will fully devote my time as an involved member of the Town Board.”

Completing the ticket is Michael Milner, a retired Admiral with nearly 40 years of military / federal public service leading national initiatives, programs and being responsive to those he served. Michel has a health science doctoral degree and has held top leadership positions in many local, regional, and national professional and civic organizations. He is a consultant for the Montrose and Bronx VA hospitals where he performs disability medical claims examinations for our Veterans. He and his wife (raised in Ossining since age 13) are strong supporters of our town businesses and have deep family roots in Ossining. Milner looks forward to bringing his talents in listening, consensus building, and result-oriented style of leadership to the Town.

“I am anxious to get started and look forward to my future service on the Town Council. The current reassessment process is capricious and arbitrary and concerns me as a homeowner. I believe our taxes are high enough and we have to find ways to hold the line through fiscal responsibility and improved accountability. I stand ready to be accountable to all our townspeople for every dollar they send to the Town.

”This new Town Board will be the most transparent, community friendly, business minded Board that this community will ever experience. ”
