Violin and Viola Lessons

Violinist, Rachel Alexander has opened her home violin and viola studio in Ossining, New York and is offering private violin and viola lessons.

It is the love of sharing Ms. Alexander’s passion for music and the arts that has inspired her to open her new, home music studio in the Ossining community. Having the ability to expose students to diverse styles of music and likewise, educate them on the colorful lives behind this great art form would be a wonderful opportunity. Knowledge, enthusiasm and professionalism strongly inform my teaching at every level. As a passionate and dedicated musician and educator, it is Ms. Alexander’s objective to introduce students to a diverse selection of musical styles, instruments, theories and experiences in order to make music an accessible, meaningful and enjoyable medium.

Rachel Alexander is a graduate of the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College where she studied with Laurie Smukler and Calvin Wiersma. Rachel also holds her MA in Music Education from Hunter College and holds her NYS Certification in Music Education (K-12). Rachel has been teaching in Westchester, NY for over six years and is currently on faculty at the Larchmont Music Academy as well as her private home studio in Ossining, NY.
