Wind Chill In The 20s Precedes Winter Storm In The Hudson Valley

Bundle up, because it's abnormally cold across the region.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Temperatures more like January than November, and gusty winds up to 20 mph, will keep Hudson Valley residents shivering Wednesday ahead of the predicted wintry storm.

"Make sure you bundle up before heading out the door on Wednesday," said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Get the kids out the door with the winter jackets and hats, because the chill will get to the bone."

Temps across the region are 15 degrees lower than average. Poughkeepsie, for example, has an average high of 53 degrees on Nov. 14. Not today. Today the city has a projected high of 36 and with the wind chill factor it'll feel like 25.
