Is Winter Over In The Hudson Valley? See What Forecasters Say
Will this warm spell last the weekend?

HUDSON VALLEY, NY – Spring is definitely in the air: There's daylight at 7 p.m., the sun in shining, most of the most recent snow storm has melted – except for the mounds of snow in the parking lots. Temperatures are even expected to reach the mid-60s degrees on Friday.
It's hard to believe that, just over a week ago, we got one of our only accumulating snowfalls of the season.
So is winter done? Could we get hit by another freeze or is it now plain sailing all the way into summer?

Patch looked at what prominent forecasters are saying.
On Friday temps should spike into the upper 50s and low 60s, along with clouds, drizzle and a spot rain shower, said Alex Marra and Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. However, colder air returns for the weekend and into early next week.

"No real snow threats on the horizon … but we will continue to monitor the situation for any changes," they said.
Jonathan O'Brien, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said temperatures will drop into the 40s by Monday and that there is a slight chance of snow. But that could be it for the year.
"It doesn't look like there's much in the way of wintry weather," O'Brien said.
O'Brien said it's getting late in the season "so anything could happen. But the later in March we get, the odds of winter weather go down."
Max Vido, an AccuWeather meteorologist, also predicts the possibility of some light snow in the region on Monday. But temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s, mostly, for the rest of March.
"We're seeing a faster turn to spring," Vido said. "There's not a whole lot to look at here."
