About Camp East Woods
Camp East Woods is a seven-week elective-based summer program held on the East Woods School campus and offered to boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 15 years. East Woods students and children from the surrounding area participate in well-supervised activities geared for enjoyment and relaxation. The low counselor/child ratio and experienced staff provide an atmosphere of comfort and safety that makes children feel right at home. The 46-acre campus facilities include two swimming pools, two gymnasiums and a high-caliber facility equipped to accommodate East Woods School’s regular school program for Nursery through Ninth Grade. The summer program is divided into five divisions based on age and interest: Voyagers, Navigators, Adventurers, Explorers and Junior Counselors. Available activities include sports and outdoor games, a radio-controlled car race track, arts and crafts, scrapbooking, computer games, cooking, dance, theater, archery, chess and "The World Famous" Slip-N-Slide. Every child age five and up receives swimming instruction from certified lifeguards.
