Glen Cove Man Sold Illegal Weapons: Police

The man was arrested following a police investigation regarding illegal gun sales in the City of Glen Cove.

A Glen Cove man was arrested Thursday for selling illegal firearms in the City of Glen Cove, according to State Police.

A joint investigation by the Glen Cove Police Department and the New York State Police Troop L Gun Investigation Unit revealed that Mohamad Yaser, 25, was involved in selling illegal guns within the City, police said.

Yaser was charged with third degree criminal sale of a firearm and third degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Yaser stayed at Nassau County Detention overnight to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Friday morning.
