Former 12th St. Bar and Grill Might Become A New Restaurant
The new restaurant has filed permits to renovate the space and get a liquor license.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN â A new restaurant might be coming to the 8th Avenue corner spot that previously housed the popular 12th Street Bar and Grill.
A business named "OLI Restaurant" has filed permits as the new tenant of the 1123 8th Avenue corner spot, which operated as 12th Street Bar and Grill and more recently Hooked on 12th before it closed down.
The new restaurant, which records show is owned by Peter Sclafani, has submitted a liquor license application and permits to renovate the corner building. Community Board 6's Permits and Licenses Committee will review a presentation from the restaurant at its meeting next week.

Representatives with the restaurant and the community board were not immediately available to offer details about what the proposal includes.
Slopers previously enjoyed the eatery as a place to stop and eat before shows at the Prospect Park Bandshell, according to reviews online. The outpost falls between 11th and 12th Street just a block away from the park.

OLI's renovation plans include about $121,000 of "general construction and plumbing work" to the first floor, records show. They were filed late last week.
After being reviewed by the committee, the liquor license application will go to the full Community Board and will ultimately be decided by the State Liquor Authority.
