Korean BBQ Spot To Take Over Le Pain Quotidien's Park Slope Space

Haenyeo will open at the 239 Fifth Ave. storefront that has been empty since Le Pain closed in November.

PARK SLOPE, NY — A new Korean BBQ restaurant owned by one of the people behind a popular West Village one will take over the former Le Pain Quotidien storefront on Fifth Avenue.

The new eatery Haenyeo plans to take over the 239 Fifth Ave. spot formerly occupied by the French bakery and had its liquor license approved by Community Board 6 at their meeting last week.

State business records list Terrence Segura as the owner of Haenyeo. Segura is one of the co-owners of the West Village's popular Korean BBQ spot Do Hwa which is backed by famous director Quentin Tarantino.
