Park Slope's Kings Beer Hall Closes On Saint Marks
The Barclays Center-adjacent watering hole closed its doors last week, but hinted it might be relocating soon.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN â Another bar bites the dust.
The Kings Beer Hall has closed the doors to its Saint Marks Place location, making it the latest neighborhood bar, and business, to shut down in the last year.
The beer hall, which is found just a few blocks from the Barclays Center, said in a note to its customers that the 84 Saint Marks Pl. building had been sold and the bar was not able to continue its lease. The beer hall had its last night open at the location on April 30, according to its social media accounts.

But, owners hinted that this is likely just a hiccup to its time in the borough.
"This is not the end....we will rise again," the flyer read. "Stay tuned, Brooklyn!!!"

A general manager for the beer hall declined to comment on the closing or on the future plans.
The bar has been open for at least eight years, according to posts online. It was known as a popular spot for Brooklyn Nets and Islanders fans to catch pre-game drinks or hang out to watch the game.
The Park Slope spot boasted 30 international draft beers, a full kitchen, arcade games, air hockey, foosball, beer pong, a pool table and trivia nights.
The business is the latest in several longtime Park Slope spots that are closing down.
The Old Carriage Inn, a longtime staple on Seventh Avenue, closed its doors for good on St. Patrick's Day after 35 years in the neighborhood. The family-owned bar, which first opened in 1975, had sold its building and couldn't afford to stay and rent the space, owner Dorothy Waggelman said.
Another Seventh Avenue staple The Clay Pot announced just a week before The Old Carriage Inn that it would be closing its Brooklyn space after 50 years. The jewelry store will focus on its Manhattan location, instead, owners said.
Earlier this year, The Pacific Bar announced that it would close down after 12 years in the neighborhood and, last spring, a grocer that had been in the area for nearly five decades shutdown.
