Shuttered Park Slope Restaurant Re-opens For One Night Pop-Up

The restaurant that took over the space that once longtime pizza favorite Franny's, will bring back the former eatery's chef for one night.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Diners who miss the Flatbush Avenue mainstay Franny's pizza, which closed two years ago, will get the chance to relive the glory days in a few weeks. The current restaurant in the 348 Flatbush Avenue spot will bring back Franny's chef for a one-night pop-up event in his old digs.

Chef John Adler, the executive chef from Franny's, will host the pizza pop-up on Tuesday, March 5, according to Eater. Adler is now the Head of Culinary at Blue Apron.

The current restaurant, Fausto, will also bring in its executive chef Erin Shambura to oversee antipasti for the night.

"After 14 incredible years franny's will be closing it's doors on Flatbush Ave," the restaurant owners said at the time. "It has been a true pleasure and honor to be able to cook for and serve our community for all these years."

Only a few months after the pizza joint closed its doors, Fausto took over the space. The eatery has been serving up food with an "Italian soul"for a little over a year. It also includes a large wine list curated by Joe Campanale.

Tickets for the one-night event are now on sale via Resy and will cost $65 per person including tax and gratuity.

Desserts will be provided by pastry chef Caroline Schiff.
