Sotto Voce Shuttered For Roaches, Mice And Flies, Records Show
The Seventh Avenue Italian restaurant was shut down by health inspectors on Thursday, city records show.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN â An Italian eatery that has been serving Park Slope for 20 years was closed by health inspectors who found rodents and bugs in the restaurant, city records show.
Health inspectors closed Sotto Voce, the Italian eatery on Seventh Avenue and Fourth Street, on Thursday when they found evidence of roaches, mice and filth flies, according records from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
The restaurant earned 58 violation points â more than double the cut-off for closing a restaurant â after health inspectors found foods stored at unsafe temperatures, contaminated food and evidence of critters, records show.

Sotto Voce has become a staple in the neighborhood since it first opened its doors in 1998. The restaurant serves classic Italian fare as well as a traditional brunch.
An employee declined to comment on the inspection, but told Patch, "We're doing a lot of work here right now."
