1 Dead After Van Collides With Flatbed Truck In Holbrook On Sunday
A 2016 Ram, driven by a 66-year-old man, collided with a 2005 Mitsubishi on Veterans Memorial Highway just before 9 a.m., Suffolk cops say.
HOLBROOK, NY — A 66-year-old Bohemia man died after his van collided with a flatbed truck in Holbrook on Sunday morning, Suffolk police said.
Richard Norman was driving a 2016 Ram van northbound on Broadway Avenue when it "went through a steady red light" just before 9 a.m. and collided with a 2005 Mitsubishi flatbed truck that had been traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway, according to police.
Norman was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead, said police, adding that the driver of the flatbed, Gina Sullivan, 27, of Holbrook, and a passenger riding in her car, had "minor injuries."

It was the second fatal car crash nearby within a day.
On Saturday evening, a 77-year-old man, whose name has not been released, died after he suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel in Patchogue.
