5 Caught Drunk Driving During Halloween DWI Enforcement: Sheriff

The five Suffolk residents were all charged with DWI during a special enforcement last Halloween weekend, according to the Sheriff's office.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY - Five people were accused of drunk driving in Suffolk County this past Halloween weekend, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's office conducted a DWI Enforcement Unit in Patchogue, Brookhaven, Bay Shore and Central Islip.

Between Friday, November 1 and Sunday, November 3 officers arrested the five impaired drivers for DWI, the sheriff's office said.

  • Michael Frechette, 21, of Medford, charged with DWI.
  • Kareem Baldwin, 34, of Bay Shore, charged with DWI and unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
  • Salvadora Vaz, 61, of Ronkonkoma, charged with DWI
  • Miguelina Rodriguez, 32, of Central Islip, charged with DWI and two counts of seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
  • Matthew Crowley, 39, of East Patchogue, charged with felony DWI, refusing to consent to a breath test and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
