UPDATE: 29-Year-Old Homeless Woman Found Dead in Swan Lake

Police say the death of a woman found in East Patchogue’s Swan Lake on Wednesday night “appears non-criminal.”

The body of the 29-year-old woman, who was homeless, was found in the lake around 7:30 p.m., police said.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the incident.

The death comes less than three months after a homeless man’s body was found in a tent in a wooded area northeast of Swan Lake Drive and Franklin Street in East Patchogue. His death was ruled non-criminal.
