Fire Island Communities Slated For Mosquito Spraying This Week
Davis Park and Point O' Woods will be treated on Tuesday, other nabes will follow on Wednesday and Thursday.

FIRE ISLAND, NY — Some communities in Fire Island are slated to be treated for mosquitoes on Tuesday, Suffolk County Department of Public Works officials said.
Davis Park and Point O'Woods' streets and boardwalks are expected to be treated between 5:30 and 10 p.m. with Anvil, in the form of an ultra-low volume aerosol during ground-spraying, officials said. Ocean Bay Park, Ocean Beach, and Seaview will be treated on Wednesday. Fire Island Pines, Water Island, Summer Club, and Atlantique will be treated on Thursday.
