Housing and Sidewalk Projects In The Making
Patchogue Community Development Agency Meeting Postponed To Aug. 19

Affordable housing development and a sidewalk project will be discussed at the Thursday, Aug. 19 meeting of the Patchogue Village Community Development Agency. The meeting was originally to be held Aug. 5, but was postponed due to not having a full quorum in attendance. The following agenda items will be discussed at the meeting, which will be held in Village Hall, 14 Baker St., at 7 p.m.
Affordable Housing At Railroad Avenue Property
A section of property along Railroad Avenue is slated to be designated for affordable housing, according to Marian Russo, executive director of the Patchogue Village CDA. The CDA obtained the property from the county, and the lot could include up to four affordable housing units. This proposal is part of the new development in the area, Ross said, referring to the Clare Rose Residential Development project along Railroad Avenue.

Update On Bay Avenue Sidewalk Project
The CDA recently received a verbal estimate for the Bay Avenue sidewalk project. The estimate came in at $50,000, according to Russo. The money for the project, which will install sidewalks from Carman Street to the railroad tracks, will come from the federal government's Housing and Urban Development funding.
