Intoxicated Medford Mom Crashes SUV With 11-Year-Old, Flees: Cops
She is charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger under 15.

MEDFORD, NY — A Medford woman has been arrested after police say she was driving an SUV while intoxicated with her 11-year-old son in the vehicle and fled the scene of a crash in Elmwood.
Susan Striplin was driving a GMC Yukon when she sideswiped a Mercedes Benz Sprinter van around 12:45 p.m. Monday, police said. The crash happened near Daly Road and Phyllis Drive in Elmwood. Striplin drove off and was pulled over about a half-hour later near Daly Road and Jericho Turnpike. No injuries were reported.
Striplin, 43, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger under 15, endangering the welfare of a child and leaving the scene of a crash. She is scheduled to be arraigned in Central Islip on Tuesday.
