Lake Ronkonkoma Man Seriously Hurt in Motorcycle Crash

A Lake Ronkonkoma man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Ronkonkoma early Saturday, police said.

According to police, Fredrick Fegel, 48, was leaving the Gulf gas station, located at 292 Ronkonkoma Avenue, on his 1998 Harley Davidson when he lost control of the motorcycle as he was turning onto Express Drive North shortly after midnight.

Fegel was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said.

The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact Fourth Squad detectives at 631-854-8452.
