Live Blog: The Vote for the New Village Plan
The future of the vacated Swezey's building will be determined by Thursday night's vote.

The is tonight at 7 p.m., and Patch will be live blogging from to provide up-to-the-minute coverage of the vote and proceedings in this article.
The public meeting will not include a public comment section, and is expected to only feature the vote.
, if passed, would approve the placement of 291 apartments, 509 parking spaces and retail space in the Four Corners section of Patchogue Village replacing the vacated Swezey's department store.

6:59 p.m. At the meeting and beginning the live blog. There are approximately 20 people at the meeting.
7:02 p.m. Meeting has begun. All trustees and Mayor Paul Pontieri have taken their seats.
7:04 p.m. Pontieri said that there are three motions that will lead to the proposed redevelopment of what was formally the Swezey's department store.
7:06 p.m. The first of three motions passes on a split vote.
7:08 p.m. Trustee Gerard Crean is making a motion to reserve decision until the Zoning Board of Appeals looks into a parking concern regarding the dimensions of parking spaces.
7:11 p.m. Board is discussing whether the vote can be made tonight pending decision from the ZBA.
7:18 p.m. Due to static in Patchogue Village Hall in the sound system, all people with cell phone signals are being asked to disconnect. Patchogue Patch will be back to report the results as soon as possible.
8:09 p.m. The motions passed 4-3, pending a decison by the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding a parking variance for the size of spots that TRITEC has in its New Village Plan. If rejected, the process will restart. This means the final decision will be made next Wednesday at the Zoning Board of Appeals meeting at Patchogue Village Hall at 7:30 p.m.
