Man With Prior DWI Arrest Caught Drunk Driving On LIE: Sheriff
The 46-year-old was pulled over after he was caught speeding and with several drugs on him, according to the sheriff's office.
BROOKHAVEN, NY — A Farmingville man with a prior driving while intoxicated arrest was once again charged with drunken driving after he was caught speeding on the Long Island Expressway in Brookhaven this week, according to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office. On Oct. 16 at 1 a.m., 46-year-old Christopher Slattery was pulled over for driving 75 mph on the LIE with a posted speed limit of 55 mph, according to the sheriff's office.
Slattery demonstrated clues he was intoxicated while performing field sobriety tests, the sheriff's office said. He charged with driving while intoxicated with a prior DWI arrest and transported to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Enforcement Bureau in Yaphank, the sheriff's office said.
He refused to submit to a chemical breath test. He was also found to be possession of concentrated cannabis, marijuana, diazepam (valium), cocaine, testosterone, and trenbolone (an anabolic steroid), according to the sheriff's office.

Slattery's license was also suspended or revoked 27 total times.
In addition to the felony DWI charge, Slattery was also charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, five counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations, the sheriff's office said.
