EAST PATCHOGUE, NY - A 21-year-old Bellport man was seriously hurt and two others suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash in East Patchogue Monday evening.
According to police, 38-year-old Michael Arce, of Holbrook, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on Sills Road when the driver of a southbound 1995 Ford van attempted to make a left onto North Dunton Avenue around 5 p.m. The Tahoe struck the van.
The driver of the van, Jordan Tyre, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue, where he was listed in serious condition. Arce and an adult male passenger who was in his vehicle were also transported to Brookhaven, where they were treated for minor injuries.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing.
