Marcus Stroman Called Up to Double-A
Pat-Med alum's journey to the major leagues continues as Stroman is promoted to the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Marcus Stroman's pitching career with the Vancouver Canadians lasted just 11 innings.
That's all it took for the Toronto Blue Jays to promote the Pat-Med alum from the Single-A squad to the Double-A New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
Stroman, who was the 22nd pick in the Major League Baseball in June, tweeted on Wednesday: "Shout out to Vancouver. Gorgeous city, and unbelievable people! Loved my time there. Headed to Manchester, NH to chase the dream!"

Stroman, a 2009 graduate of Patchogue-Medford High School, struggled in his first inning and a third with Vancouver, giving up four earned runs. But then it was lights out for the right-hander as Stroman pitched 10 scoreless innings in his other appearances out of the bullpen.
Stroman arrived in New Hampshire on Thursday, tweeting, "Just got to the clubhouse for the #FisherCats! Excited to have this opportunity."

The Medford native is back in the United States for the moment and if he continues pitching well, a stint with the Triple-A Las Vegas 51s may be in the cards.
The ultimate dream for Stroman, pitching on a major league mound back in Canada, may not happen this year, but he's certainly well on his way.
