New Superintendent for Eastern Suffolk BOCES Announced

Eastern Suffolk BOCES, which has offices in Patchogue, has announced the appointment of Dean T. Lucera as their new District Superintendent/Chief Executive Officer as of Aug. 1.

"I am looking forward to working with the members of our board as well as parents, teachers and students to successfully move Eastern Suffolk BOCES toward the next level of educational excellence," Lucera said in a release.

Lucera will report to the New York State Commissioner of Education on behalf of ESBOCES to assess educational components and needs of the member school districts, says the release.

Lucera has been a part of the BOCES staff since 2004 and has served a variety of administrative positions at ESBOCES.
