• 2, Including 1 Bicyclist, Hurt In Separate Crashes On South Shore Of Brookhaven Town: Police (patch.com) — Two people were injured in separate South Shore crashes Thursday afternoon, including one person hurt in a two-vehicle collision at Sills Road and westbound Sunrise Road in East Patchogue. Another crash in Shirley left a bicyclist with non-life-threatening injuries, and both victims were taken for medical treatment as police continued their investigation.
   

• 'Significant Increase In Traffic' In Eastern LI Calls For 3rd Lane On Sunrise From Patchogue To Moriches: Pol (patch.com) — Patchogue drivers could see major changes on Sunrise Highway as local and state officials push for a third lane between Patchogue and Moriches to ease chronic congestion and improve emergency access. Leaders argue the expansion is vital for safety, economic growth, and faster ambulance routes, especially near NYU Langone Hospital in East Patchogue, though the state has not yet committed funding.
